Polygomma EPDM membrane with Ling edge buffed for waterproofing

Not all roof require jumbo (or large) rolls for its waterproofing or roofing needs. For several residential roofs, sheds, gutters, etc it is more convenient to use smaller waterproofing membranes.

The standard rolls of Polygomma EPDM membrane are ideal for such applications. These highly cost effective standard rolls come with factory buffed overlaps.

Based on our interaction with waterproofing/roofing contractors, we gather that securing the overlaps of the EPDM membrane is a cause of concern. To address this, the standard rolls of Polygomma EPDM membrane come with factory buffed overlaps. The buffed overlap areas not only help in having a more secured overlap, but also save time in marking the overlaps on site at time of installation. Surely, is it mandatory to use the correct tools and bonding adhesive to install the EPDM membrane. We recommend on using Polygomma Bonding Adhesive with our EPDM membranes.

at our production facility and had witnessed Eight year old Polygomma EPDM roof waterproofing on flat terrace with :
*No Slope/No BBC
*No use of various Accessories

He, categoriely witnessed stressed edge for any sign of cracks, corners, termination techniques. We served him with about 100000 sq ft EPDM since 20 years and it served all the waterproofing purpose.

Plain v/s Textured finish EPDM waterproofing membrane

Some of the basic facts on EPDM membrane with a textured finish versus smooth finish.

With an EPDM membrane with a textured finish the following points are compromised:

1) 5-7% less material compared to an EPDM membrane with a smooth finish. This will have techno-commercial implications.

2) About 10-15% compromise in vital tear resistance and tensile strength. This will impact the performance and life cycle cost of the EPDM membrane

3) Width limitations

4) The consumption of adhesive will be more on a textured finish.
