EPDM membrane /liner technical update
Technical update on the manufacturing process and technology for EPDM membrane and pond liner :
Conventionally the calendering technology is used to produce the EPDM membranes and pond liner. The use of such a technology/equipment usually gives blisters (air pockets) in the surface of the sheet. This can be seen if one inspects the sheets very closely. It probably isn’t wise to use sheets with such blisters. On the other hand, EPDM membranes manufacturer using the cold feed roller head technology produces a blister free EPDM sheet. Please feel to contact me in case you are interested to know further in detail about the differences between calendering and cold feed roller head technology.
